Position DetailsPosition Title Student ClericalJob Title Office adjunct - Oregon Natural Resources Education Program Appointment Type Student Employee Job Location Corvallis Position Appointment Percent 100 Appointment Basis 12 Min Hourly Rate $12.00 (Standard); $11.50 (Non-Urban); $13.25 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $14.00 (Standard); $13.50 (Non-Urban); $15.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Student Clerical adjunct position for the Oregon Natural Resources Education Program at Oregon State University (OSU). Oregon Natural Resources Education Program (ONREP) and the Oregon Environmental Literacy Program (OELP) provide environmental education training, workshops, and support for PreK-12 educators all over the state. This position will support staff with the planning, delivery, and wrap-up of the environmental education professional development ONREP offers. Position tasks » 30% Data entry and updates » 20% Graphic design, creating and editing of documents » 18 % Contribute & update social media accounts » 10 % Research & writing » 10% Communication and follow-up with program staff as well as workshop participants when requested » 5% Organize, inventory, mail workshop materials in our storage area in the Oak Creek building » 5% Other priorities as needed » 2% Attend and contribute to team meetings Minimum Qualifications Employment Eligibility Requirements (http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts) Additional Required Qualifications » High degree of accountcapability to maintaining work schedules, tasks and communicating challenges or barriers faced, and celebrating successes. » Well-versed in using MS Office Suite, Google Drive, and Facebook » Adept at internet research » Demonstrated oral and written communication expertise » Proficient use (reading, editing, and knowledge) of English language » Attention to detail in working with data entry and editing/reformatting documents » capability and propensity to work as a team and independently » A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing equity, diversity, and inclusion For remote work, a home-located computer on a private network & the capability/availability to install programs as directed by ONREP and the Forestry Computing Help Desk. Preferred (Special) Qualifications » practice using a computer (PC) for data entry » Proficiency in graphic design software » Email listserve management expertise » practice with website content management Working Conditions / Work Schedule *Due to Covid-19 this is a remote position but will transition to an in person/on site position as allowed by State mandates. The office is located in Richardson Hall and is in a shared-space office with several other people with standard office protocols. 8 - 15 hours/week, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6 p.m.. Student will keep the ONREP team informed of their weekly and monthly schedule. Occasional lifting and unpacking of boxes, up to 26 lbs. may be required. Access to a computer will be provided while working at the ONREP office.
