The University of Colorado Athletics Office of Marketing and Promotions is currently seeking two Marketing Associates for a nine-month, full-time position. CU is seeking qualified candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in college athletics. The purpose of these positions are to assist with the marketing and promotions of CU Athletics including but not limited to: Football, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Women's Soccer, Women's Tennis, and Women's Lacrosse. This position is structured to expose the individual to all aspects of marketing, including promotions, ticket sales, and enhancement of the fan practice.
The Marketing Associates will be responsible for the following:
-Assisting in the execution of marketing plans for football, volleyball, soccer, men's basketball and women's basketball.
-Planning and implementing promotional efforts to increase fan attendance at all home CU Athletic events.
-Responsible for creating and executing marketing plans, PA scripts, in-game promotions, and timing sheets for select sports.
-Serve as gameday director and coordinate production with game day staff for select sports.
-Managing gameday interns that assist with pre-game, in-game promotions, sponsored promotions, halftime entertainment, on-campus marketing, and various events in the Boulder area.
-Take an active function with student marketing by creating and developing new ways to reach students via advertising and social media. Will coordinate and execute on-campus engagement and build relationships with student groups on campus.
-Aiding the Community Outreach Manager with projects including: Chip's Kids Club, Ralphie's Kids Roundup, and Read with the Buffs.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution (master’s degree preferred)
-Prior practice in the area of sports marketing is preferred but not essential
-Be engaging and outgoing with both large groups and individuals
-Have excellent writing and communication expertise
-Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be organized
-Exceptional interpersonal expertise, judgement, initiative, and attention to detail
-practice with Adobe Photoshop is a plus but not essential
