Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill up to 5 part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Bus Aff Recycle & Waste (Materials Management Worker) position for the Procurement, Contracts & Materials Management (PCMM) at Oregon State University (OSU).
Materials Management Crew Members collect and distribute surplus materials and recycling on the OSU Corvallis Campus. Crew Members are expected to follow safety protocols, follow directions and be reliable team members. On the job and classroom training is provided to ensure Crew Members have the necessary tools, resources and expertise to execute at their best.
Materials Management Crew Members can gain valuable expertise and practice in:

-Recycling, reuse and waste reduction methods
Position tasks
60% MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SUPPORT:
Materials Management Crew Members will be trained to provide recycling and surplus support to include:
This position drives a variety of university owned vehicles on campus to pick up, load and deliver a variety of materials. Some of the recycling materials may include bottles and cans, paper, cardboard and residence hall recycling bins. Some of the surplus items may include office furniture and equipment, and special request items such as Styrofoam.
Driving and safety training will be provided by Materials Management staff.
This position assists with carts, bins and dumpster maintenance that may include pressure washing and organizing as needed. Crew Members sort a variety of recycling materials such as cans and bottles collected on campus.
35% WAREHOUSE SUPPORT
Materials Management Crew Members will be trained to provide warehouse support to include:
Receives and sorts a variety of surplus items
Receive, test and refurbish Information technology inventory
Prepare site for twice weekly public sales to include customer assistance, cashiering, and gate monitoring
Post items on eBay and Public Surplus websites, including prepare items for shipping
5% Other tasks as assigned by Materials Management staff.

capability to safely lift, carry, push, pull and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs., as needed. Training and use of moving equipment such as hand trucks to move heavier materials is provided.
